About Me

I have always been interested in product design and engineering. I created a "roll-on" hand sanitizer when in 5th grade, making it easy for people to roll it on, like a chapstick or lip balm. I purchased the materials and manufacturing several different fragrances right at home. I then advertised and sold the handy item to friends, family, and people in my community, raising nearly $1200 dollars. Thus began my passion for 'thinking out the box'. More recently, I have been designing prototypes that address accessibility - a relief hat for those with scalp pain and hair loss; a special straw for disabled people with limited motor skills to easily clean and re-use. I am passionate about creating social change through impactful products and programs. To that end, I have established two social-tech initiatives, WEinnov8 and WiST-Next Gen, in collaboration with national organizations. I am also the President of my town's North Reading Youth For Antiracism (NRY4A), and started a Social Activism Club at my high school last year. Last summer, I was hired as an intern with MassHousing, where I worked in the Community Services Department to bring awareness and solve problems related to racial and economic disparities in health and housing. I am also co-captain of the Hi-Tech Hornets Robotics Team, perform in a rock band and am a Junior Olympic softball player. I was recently selected to be on Boston Business Journal's "25 Under 25" list of innovators. In my free time, I enjoy baking and watching movies
